At last conditions allowed us to go up to launch. Most of the day the hill behind Piedrahita had been covered in low clouds and they finally lifted about 5pm. We headed up just before 7pm and I launch at 7:28pm for a flight of just over an hour.
The first 1/2 hour I spent ridge sparing before pushing out into the flat and picking up some minimal lift. I landed in the field above the town landing to try to avoid the moist ground. On landing the wind was very light from the west or WNW which was unusual as normally there is a valley breeze from Avila i.e. from the East.
