The wind was East so we headed for Beechmont.
I was determined to be off early and managed to be 3rd in the queue and 2nd to launch.
Finally I found some lift and spent the next 2 hours up and down around launch.
At times it was very congested with about70 pilots all around the same height at launch.
Finally there was some chatter on the comp radio channel and it was decided the task was impossible and so was abandoned.
Most pilots landed at the bomb-out but I decided to land slightly west with Phil Hysteck and we spent 40 minutes walking back to launch.
