Quick winter dusk flights

Larry had suggested it might be on and so from about 3:30 I was planning to head down but it wasn't until nearly 5pm that I finally got away.
At 5pm when I arrived there was no one around but the wind was consistent and seemed about 14 or 15 knots.
I hurriedly dressed in my ski pants and warm top, NEW HELMET and NEW GLOVES and kited by about 5:05 and launched at 5:10 pm as the sun just started to drop below the ridge.
It was strong with heaps of lift and I easily got 100m above launch. The trouble was getting down. The wind eased and at 5:20 I landed. I wandered up took a few photos on my I-PHONE and launched again about 5:25 and tried to land about 5:35. It took well over 5 minutes to finally get low enough to top land just as street lights and car headlights were coming on.

And at 5:43 just landed showing new gloves.
