Boxing Day started out rainy and overcast
Andrew and I got down to Bald Hill a bit after 10 and it was a bit strong for my regular glider
This was my first flight at Stanwell on my Shooka. It was about 14knots from the South.
The flight went very well even though I was using my standard Advance Progress Harness with a seat board.
I slowly sank out after about a 10 minute flight, landing on the beach. It all went very well though it was a little twitchy.
Charlie picked me up and the wind had dropped off so I got out my regular wing.
I top landed on the South Landing after about 7 minutes then the next flight both Andrew and I flew to the Burning Palms.
Andrew was on his new wing an Ozone Alpina which he had picked up from Greg on Christmas Eve.
Kate and Annette came down to watch as Andrew's car was playing up (loose battery terminal), so they brought the Subaru down.
After flying to Burning Palms Andrew flew down to Scarborough and back on the first flight and by the time he was back I had done two landing on the East launch and then a landing on the South making 6 flights.
At this stage I had done 2 hours of flying
While Andrew was taking a short rest I knocked out another 3 flights with two touch and go landings and one where I pulled the wing down, all at the East Launch.
I flew up to Hell Hole with Andrew but didn't have the height to cross but Andre on his new wing had no trouble. I headed back and landed at the South landing after a 50 minute flight and then did landing on the East launch and took off for my 12th flight and found Andrew above Stony Range so picked up some height and crossed the beach on the South cliffs but when any chance of landing was exhausted I turned and made it half was along the beach landing outside the surf club about 3:30pm. Another 1 hour and 30 minutes flying.
