Got there about noon. Wind was in a lull at about 6 knots.
It picked up to around 10 knots (gusts to 11.5 knots) and I launched and had nearly an hours flight. Flew SW to Stanwell Tops where the cover photo was taken. Also did some good wingovers as there was plenty of lift at times during the first flight although the wind never really got over 10 knots.
I then had 3 more reasonably quick flights before bout 2pm doing my 5th flight as the wind dropped to nearly as low as 4 knots. Both Dave Sandenberg and I scratched to get back up to top land and after nearly 30 minutes he finally landed and I followed shortly afterwards. I landed with an easterly approach and turning into wind at the last minute as I wasn't sure if I'd turned and come from the west I would have had enough height.
