Probably catch train to sapporo to pick up Van

K,A & T depart 10pm Sydney to Toyko

K,A & T fly Toyko to Chitose/Sapporo
ALL: Drive from Chitose to Niseko
Drive from Chitose to Niseko about 2 hours drive.
Check in at Ru Ru Niseko Lodge

Ru Ru is in the Hirafu Village about 5 minutes drive from the resort. There is a free shuttle bus.
SKI AT:
NISEKO: this is 5 minutes drive open 8:30am to 8:30 pm maybe 8 days
Rusutsu 40 minutes drive from Niseko Good powder tree runs off ridges. Powderhounds Lin maybe 2 days
Moiwa Niseko-Moiwa Ski Resort 10 minutes from Niseko Powderhounds Link maybe 1 day
Kiroro Great for Off PistePowder. Good lifts also About 1 hour from Niseko close to Otaru also Powderhounds Link maybe 1 day

Total 12 days possible skiing assuming skiing the afternoon we arrive

Sapporo Kokusai Great Powder skiing 35 minutes from Otaru (23km) Powderhounds Link
Sapporo Teine Great powder and some steeper slopes all facing North. 50 minutes from Otaru and about 36 km Powderhounds Link
Kiroro Not visited but reputed to be great for Off PistePowder. Good lifts also About 30 minutes from Otaru
Asari: Asarigawa Onsen Good off piste skiing in small resort 15 minutes from Otaru (10km) Powderhounds Link

Total 5 days possible skiing assuming we ski the Saturday we drive from Niseko

Young House is directly opposite the ski slope of the Kitinome Furano Ski area. It costs about AU$80 per night for a double.

Furano Ski Area this is directly across the road from our hotel
Tomamu This is a glitzy resort with skyscraper hotels. It also has some nice off piste ski runs About 1 hour 15 minutes from Furano (68km) Powderhounds Link, GOOGLE MAP from Furano
Asahidake Ropeway This is a single cable car with little or no groomed runs. Great Powder skiing. About 1 hour 30 minutes from Furano Powderhounds Link. GOOGLE MAP from Furano
Kamui Ski Links Great little resort for some off piste powder 1 hour 10 minutes from Furano. WEBSITE, Powderhounds Link, GOOGLE MAP from Furano
Sahoro is another possibility only 1 hour 15 minutes from Furano: Powderhounds Link, GOOGLE MAP from Furano

Backcountry Skiing at Tokachidake (Tokachi Mountains) about 50 minutes from Furano (32 km) for example

Total 13 days possible skiing assuming a day off to visit the Asahikawa Ice Festival on say 10th February
this assumes Kate and Andrew Fly out on Friday 20th February.
