Loosing power & not starting when hot

257272 km in Canberra photo in new workshop

The saga started as we drove down the Hume Hwy on Thursday night near Bowral and the Sprinter seemed to loose power. We pulled over at Sutton Forest Servo to just check there was not obvious problem and the van would not start again. We called the NRMA and when they came he was checking for air in the fuel line and asked me to turn the engine over and it started. He did notice a few bubbles in the line (which may indicate some air, i.e. a leak in the fuel system?)

We drove on to Canberra to the Mercedes Dealer and slept in the van nearby in Fyswick.
On Friday morning we got the van checked at the dealer:
They advised to replace the battery and they could find no other problems.
They cleared the EDU faults at 9:12am
scan is in 2015 file under: Sprinter Diagnosis 1 Canberra 2015 Apr 10.pdf

Purchased a new battery at the Battery Factory, 141 Newcastle St, Fyshwick.
It has a 3 year warranty. scanned invoice as: Sprinter Battery Factory Invoice.pdf

Drove to BP south of Canberra 10km after getting fuel Sprinter would not start.
Waited for engine to cool and returned to Mercedes and they ran a further EDU DAS test without stopping van.
The following fault codes showed up:
P1354-064 Synchronisation between crankshaft and camshaft - No camshaft signal. current
P1470-004 Charge pressure control valve - Cable has ⏋+ stored
Adam advised to drive on as it would not damage the car but probably would not start when hot.
