Pete Eckhardt organised a training weekend specifically for masters paddlers with the impetus being preparation for the World Masters Games which are on in New Zealand in April 2017,
There was over 30 Masters paddlers at the weekend including quite a few who hadn't paddled on whitewater this century. People like Ray Baxter and Pete Bodycott. Also Dave Harrison (who didn't paddle due to a shoulder problem) and Mike Wilson.
